Dr. Sulman Hasan

Rheumatology

Dr. Sulman Hasan is a rheumatology fellow who comes to us from Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, where he has practiced in several capacities since 2019. Previously, he was a resident in internal medicine at Oak Hill Hospital, a University of South Florida–affiliated hospital in Brooksville, Florida. Dr. Hasan earned his B.A. in biology from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, and his M.D. from the Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Hasan is licensed to practice in both Florida and Louisiana and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as certified in NIH Stroke and Infection Control. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, American Muslim Health Professionals, Islamic Medical Association of North America and Radiologic Society of North America, among others. Dr. Hasan has given much of his time and expertise as a volunteer, most recently during the Hurricane Irma relief effort in Florida and at a Shreveport homeless shelter while serving as General Internal Medicine Clinic leader/champion at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.
